Mikael Bäck
VP & Corporate Officer, Ericsson

Mikael Bäck is Corporate Officer for Ericsson Group. As a member of the Technology & Strategy Leadership Team, he oversees business priorities and strategies for partnerships, customers, with focus on Europe and the APAC region with extensive experience from the Middle East. He also leads the company’s activities in The World Economic Forum in the areas of 4G and 5G as well as the engagement in B20.

Prior to his current role, Mikael Bäck served as Vice President Global Strategy and Portfolio Development for Ericsson.

He joined Ericsson in 1990 and has since worked in multiple managerial positions in sales, product management, business development and strategy. He also worked out of Ericsson’s Japan office and for several years led the company’s 3G business.

With almost three decades of experience in the ICT industry and working with customers, Mikael is an industry expert on 5G and its use cases along with emerging technologies. He has over multiple years been engaging with industry players around IoT and 5G use cases.

Mikael is part of the Board of Directors for DIGITALEUROPE, which includes representing the organization towards different government officials such as G7 Digital Ministers meeting in Japan in April 2023.

She has been working as a consultant and a system supplier and has also previously been engaged in the Swedish membership association for actors in the sector, ITS Sweden. The focus of her work has been, with the use of digitalisation, creating a more safe and efficient transport system, e.g. through her work with traffic information and traffic management systems in Sweden. Now at Einride, Pia is project manager for research and innovation projects focusing on creating safe and efficient autonomous logistic chains.

With a Master of Science from Chalmers University of Technology and over 16 years of experience in the field, Daniel has a wealth of knowledge and expertise to draw from. He has held a variety of managerial positions, including Head of Digital Services South America, Country Manager for Ericsson Peru, and Key Account Manager for Telefonica in various countries. Prior to his tenure at Ericsson, Daniel founded his own marketing company with his University colleagues.

With a diverse background that includes both international experience and a history of entrepreneurship, Daniel is a dynamic leader who brings a unique perspective into Ericsson’s business.
